Marc Godin, P. Eng., MBA provides project-based services, focusing on innovation, technology development and commercialization, R&D management and funding, strategy, marketing, project management, and technical/economic studies in methane and air emissions reduction, oil sands, heavy oil, upgrading, hydraulic fracturing, carbon capture and storage, petrochemicals, renewable energy, and alternative energy. Marc has 39 years of technology development and business management experience. He received his MBA from the University of Calgary, and his chemical engineering degree from Université Laval. His career includes 20 years in the petrochemical industry, with senior technology and business positions with major corporations such as Goodyear, Union Carbide and NOVA Chemicals. During the past 18 years, he has been in private practice as president of Portfire Associates. He is a Fellow of THECIS, The Centre for Innovation Studies and an associate of the Pipeline Engineering Center both affiliated with the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the Canadian Heavy Oil Association.
