Victoria Collins graduated with a BSc. in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary in 2010 and has since gone on to complete her MSc in Land Reclamation at the University of Alberta. She is currently writing her PhD thesis focused on nitrogen fixation and the biodegradation of hydrocarbons in oil sands tailings with the Land Reclamation International Graduate School at the U of A. Victoria also works as a researcher with the Applied Bio/Nano Industrial Research group at NAIT in the School of Applied Sciences. Her current research focuses on bioremediation, and the development and implementation of in-situ technologies. Her hobbies include historical live steel Viking re-enactment, videogames, and working on her thesis.
